Having a sick pet is really stressful. We've been there! We want to work with you to get them better as soon as possible.
At your appointment, our doctors will examine your pet and listen to your description of their symptoms, history and concerns. If your pet needs testing, we can run diagnostic tests in-house for quick results. Our staff can run blood work, urine samples, fecal samples, heartworm tests and x-rays right in our office. We also have a full pharmacy to send most medications home, and work with local compounding pharmacies if your pet needs a special medication (or special flavor or formulation). If your pet needs hospitalization, we care for them in specially designed and separate dog and cat hospitalization areas for things like IV fluids, intensive monitoring, or ongoing treatment. Our veterinarians also work with local specialty hospitals, like Veterinary Specialty Services and Associated Veterinary Specialists, as well as specialist resources and laboratories nationwide for complex cases. We're also lucky to have access to St. Louis area traveling specialists in surgery, radiology/ultrasonography and rehabilitation who will see your pet AT City Paws!
